Or at least how I imagine it played out in this guys head.

Nice matrix dude.

I’m guessing it’s similar to my brother’s “Buy American” sticker on his Toyota Corolla.

Haha! Thats too perfect. I bet its a joke.

Ironic really (or moronic) that the Pontiac Vibe was developed along with Toyota from the Toyota Carolla and built at the joint GM-Toyota factory at Fremont, California.
It’s sister twin the Toyota Matric is still being built at the Cambridge, Ontario plant for the Canadian market only.

Judging by the other stickers, I think they are serious.

I know lol, that’s the point. My Mom has a Vibe. It’s been super reliable for a Pontiac, which is a huge clue that it might not really be a Pontiac.

Sadly, judging by the other stickers, I doubt it is. I’ve met plenty of people like this.

I really hope this guy is being ironic ... But probably not.

Trump supporter detected.

I’d love to be the guy who walks up to him and say “hey nice Toyota matrix

If I ever bought a Taco id totally stick a “buy american” sticker on it to bait conservatives

Where are those built? Mexico?
![]() 10/31/2015 at 09:38 |

They were built in California. By Toyota.

This is like my dads philosophy. As long as it has an American badge it’s okay. Ignoring my mom’s current and previous cars are European designed and built in Mexico, but they have American badges dammit!

I was bitched at for buying a “Jap car” by someone who drives a GM product entirely made in Canada. People are so ignorant.

Me too! Except mine actually is built in Japan.
![]() 10/31/2015 at 10:00 |

That sounds like literally the opposite of my dad. He will only buy anything made in Japan, with a Japanese badge. That’s why my mother drives a Lexus RX Hybrid, and he drives a Mazda3 S GT (not manual unfortunately).

This is gold but I fully suspect he is trolling. The toyota one is way too specific of a coincidence

I don’t. The fact that it’s in the Detroit area, and the other stickers kind of points out that he may be serious.

You’d want proof (other than Wikipedia). I’m sure there are plenty of components labelled Toyota. What would be the easiest to point out? Maybe something under the hood?

Like Finn said, Fremont, California

In California, by Mexicans.

at least it's not the GT model

The owner has to be trolling, right? I mean, no one could really be that stupid to not know that the Pontiac Vibe and Toyota Matrix (and Toyota Voltz and Toyota Corolla Matrix, depending) are the same damn car?

You are overestimating people’s logical abilities.

That’s not hard to do with Americans.
